MISSION OF INTERNATIONAL PAIN FOUNDATION

iPain provides help and hope that inspires motivation and a voice that encourages action. Our mission is to educate and support the chronic pain community around the world. iPain provides community based services that address needs of chronic pain patients with conditions such as RSD/CRPS, post cancer pain, fibromyalgia, diabetic neuropathy, lyme, lupus, arachnoiditis  and many many more.

We fulfill our mission by:

Promoting public and professional awareness of Neuropathy chronic pain conditions
Educating those afflicted with the painful neuro diseases, their families, friends and healthcare providers on the disabling pain it causes.
Providing action-oriented public education and pain policy improvement through activities and efforts to eliminate the under treatment of chronic pain and increase proper access to care.

HISTORY OF INTERNATIONAL PAIN FOUNDATION

The idea for our foundation was first conceived on November 23, 2006 with the mandate of providing educational, emotional and physical support that assists chronic pain patients and public awareness. Our 501-C-3 was awarded by the IRS in March, 2007. In February 2015 we were updated to an Arizona corporation and were assigned a new 501-C-3 tax id of 47-3080556 with an upgrade in the name to Power of Pain Foundation Inc, dba International Pain Foundation (iPain). We have been moving forward over the past 10 years and now work internationally on projects and collaborations to improve pain care globally. More on our programs at www.internationalpain.org.

4 CORE BELIEFS

Chronic pain is a real and complex disease that may exist by itself or be linked with other medical conditions
Effective pain care requires ACCESS to a wide range of treatment options; currently being denied
Chronic pain is an unrecognized and under resourced public health crisis with devastating personal and economic impact
Allowing people to suffer with unmanaged pain is immoral and unethical

Our average monthly reach between social media, our website, newsletter, and iPain members is over 1million a month. We have over 1,500 volunteers and delegates from 16 different countries.
